I grew up in New Mexico, moved up to Colorado to get a biology degree from CSU in Fort Collins, and when that was done, I joined the Peace Corps.
I got to Senegal in March of 2011 to start working as an environmental education volunteer for the next 2 years. I'm living in Doundodji, a Wolof village of around 2,500 people 14km outside of Linguere in the Louga region of Senegal. I have a little hut in a compound with a host family, where I spend my time when I'm not out doing all the things that being a Peace Corps Volunteer involves.
